ReadAll: a feed reader for iPhone, iPad and Mac

ReadAll 1.0 is on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It is a feed reader: RSS, Atom and JSON Feed, with your subscriptions, folders and what you’ve read synced through iCloud. It is free, with no ads, no account and no tracking.

ReadAll on the Mac: folders of feeds in the sidebar, the article list, and NASA’s image of the day in the reader

Why I built it

I read feeds every day: news, the blogs I follow, the release notes of the projects I use. For years my reader was Reeder, but I didn’t like the ideas behind its recent redesigns. I moved to News Explorer, which hasn’t caught up with the recent redesign of macOS, or with newer devices like the iPhone Duo. So a year ago I started building my own, the reader I wanted on my phone and on my Mac.

What it does

  • Subscribe to almost anything. Enter a website’s address and ReadAll finds its feeds. It also follows YouTube channels, subreddits, and GitHub projects’ releases, tags and commits. Subscriptions come in and go out as OPML.
  • Read the whole article, with its pictures. When a feed sends only a summary, Load Full Article brings in the rest from the page. Pick the font, a sepia or dark theme, the text size and the line width.
  • Summaries, translation and reading aloud, made on your device: the gist of a long article from Apple Intelligence’s model, a translation that keeps the article’s layout, and an article read to you while you keep browsing.
  • Podcasts play in the reader, and an episode can become a transcript on your device.
  • Comments: the discussion of a Hacker News, Lobsters, Reddit, Stack Exchange or GitHub link, beside the article.
  • Every screen: on an iPad, a Mac or an unfolded iPhone Duo, the list and the article sit side by side. Widgets, Siri and Shortcuts, Spotlight and Focus filters work too, and on the Mac there’s an unread count in the menu bar and a keyboard shortcut for everything.

Free, with tips

There is nothing to unlock. If ReadAll is useful to you, Settings has three tips that support its development.

Your library stays yours: feeds come straight from the sites that publish them, your subscriptions and read articles sync through your own iCloud account, and there is no server of mine in between.

ReadAll needs iOS 27, iPadOS 27 or macOS 27, and speaks English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified) and Russian. Get it on the App Store.
